Our bodies need nourishment to live. This sounds like a throwaway phrase until you have to go months and years without enough food—as our Gazan brothers and sisters have done so often in the last years.
Our brains need nourishment to learn, to think, to grow. Making a barbecue (meat on an open fire) is a huge part of Gazan culture, and a big request in February was chicken—so the kids can grow, so the adults can be healthy and strong—so that the smell of meat on the fire can once against fill the air.
