some ideas for how you can volunteer with us:
A number of people have created their own fundraisers for Impossible Light! You can do that too! Below are some versions of how people have done it.
In New York City, Francesca and Marine and the Comrades created two literary readings devoted to the work of Impossible Light! They raised around $14,000 between the two readings.
In Wisconsin, Tamie’s beloved cousin Emili and her youngest boy sold vegetables from their garden and lemonade—and gave us the proceeds. She posted videos of herself asking folks to come by. Did they raise tons of money? No. Did they do what they could? YES. They chose not to use any excuses for not doing what they could. Fundraisers like this really, really matter to us.
Our dear friend Mel (@melissavose) in British Columbia, Canada sold her pottery on Instagram as a fundraiser specifically for us! It sold out in hours!
<— Our delightful friend Zack Desmond created his own Ramadan practice (though he is not Muslim) that he called Ramadan 4 Gaza, inviting people to participate in various forms of fasting and then give the money that they saved/raised to Impossible Light. He posted about this on his Substack (substack.com/@zacharydesmond)
